Spring is here and we are celebrating on the Moda Bake Shop with color. Our Chefs are cooking up recipes for the Color Pop Challenge throughout the month of May. All quilts will highlight a color from the collection, using bright and bold backgrounds instead of neutrals or white. Here is a sneak peek of an upcoming project by Chef Amanda Castor of
Material Girl Quilts:
Readers can join in on the fun by sharing their own colorful creations in the {
Moda Bake Shop Flickr group}.
Here are some past color pop projects on the Moda Bake Shop if you can't wait until May for colorful inspiration! (Click on the photo for a link to the full tutorial).
Love the thought of using color. I like the look of the quilts with white in them but I am wondering how the quilt will stay bright white with my family using the quilts. I make my quilts to be used not to be stuffed away for no one to see or snuggle with. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteLove colors, especially bright ones! Can hardly wait to see what is coming up!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, Rose, Happy May!
ReplyDeleteWas just wondering, as I look at soiled white on a couple of quilts, shouldn't there be a more practical way of making quilts modern other than white sashings and backgrounds! Thanks for the Color Pop inspiration! Looking forward to the month!
