Friendship Blocks in Bella

Hello! The Moda Friendship Quilt Along blog hop is over, but since the patterns are still available, I thought it would be a lot of fun to use Bella Solids to make them. I've had this cute Bella solids bundle sitting on the shelf for a while now; since I haven't made a quilt using only solids since my first quilt about 20 years ago, I thought it was about time to venture back into the world of solids.

The friendship blocks go together quickly, and the 9 1/2'' size is perfect--not too big, and not too small! Today I'd like to share my first three blocks, and I'll give you the Bella solids color numbers in case there are any you might need for your stash.

First I made Julie Comstock's block (pattern found here). I used Bella 9900 221 Sunflower and Bella 9900 225 Capri.

Next I made Aneela Hoey's block (pattern here) using Bella 9900 223 Shocking Pink and Bella 9900 224 Violet. This was another fun combination.

Finally, I made one of the extra blocks from the quilt along wrap-up post (block pattern found here). I used  Bella 9900 228 Grass and Bella 9900 75 Lime (not in the bundle pictured above).

I'm going to keep making blocks using Bella solids from my bundle and from my stash, and I'll keep you updated on my progress!

I can't wait to make my next set of blocks! Stop by my blog to see what else I have planned for these blocks...

  3. I've spent the last 30 minutes or so trying to find all the blocks. It's not easy, I found four. 26 and 21 only because someone on the original post gave us a link to find them. And I found 6 and 31. is there a spot that all of them are listed?
