Spell it with Fabric blog hop

Each day on the blog hop you will be collecting a letter, number or shape.
The great thing about this design is that the entire quilt can be made from a Moda Jelly roll
or 2 1/2" strips. The quilt is also made using ECT's.
What are ECT's?
Easy Corner Triangles is a technique that takes the guesswork from sewing triangles
and eliminate bulky seams. We have included a sheet of directions below.

There are all kinds of ways to do the ECT's including marking the squares
or adding tape to your sewing machine for a guide. We used the
folded Corner Clipper ruler by Prairie Sky Quilting
for this technique.

This ruler makes it a breeze to sew snowballs, geese and many more shapes
where you need a corner triangle.

Folded Corner Clipper web

Each of the blocks have additionally pieces of fabric added so they are all the same size.
Consider it kind of a built in sashing.
Each of the pieces blocks will need the above fabric sashings added.

  188. My favourite local shops for moda are the mallee tree and hettie's patch. But as I'm in Australia it can be hard to get the collections I would like so I also do a bit of online shopping and there are too many of them to list. Louise xx
