Growing up I remember singing,
Make new friends but keep the old,
at the end of every girl scout meeting.
Here are the lyrics just in case you need a refresher.
WARNING: Song will stick in your head the rest of the day, not a bad thing.
Make new friends, but keep the old.
One is silver, the other is gold.
One is silver, the other is gold.
A circle is round, it has no end.
That's how long, I will be your friend.
That's how long, I will be your friend.
A fire burns bright,
it warms the heart.
We've been friends, from the very start.
We've been friends, from the very start.
You have one hand,
I have the other.
Put them together, We have each other.
Put them together, We have each other.
Silver is precious,
Gold is too.
I am precious, and so are you.
I am precious, and so are you.
You help me,
and I'll help you
and together we will see it through.
and together we will see it through.
The sky is blue
The Earth is green
I can help to keep it clean
I can help to keep it clean
Across the land
Across the sea
Friends forever We will always be
Friends forever We will always be
This song is a good mantra for the upcoming designers friendship blog hop.
Afterall read this part of the song,
You help me,
and I'll help you
and together
we will see it through.
Isn't that what quilting is all about?
You have one hand,
I have the other. Put them together,
We have each other.
Quilters love to lend a hand and help each other out.
I could go on and on, but I will get right to the reason you are here.
You may already have some favorite designers but throughout this blog hop I am sure you
will make some new friends. Several of the moda designers will be sharing their
friendship block designs with you.
Here is the list of old and possibly some new friends.

This is my first friendship sew along. I love moda fabrics, they are so nice to work with.
ReplyDeleteI am having a great time collecting the patterns I hope to use them as a friendship quilt and have my guild members sign them.
ReplyDeleteYou have all my favorite designers in this hop so i really can`t wait till the next day to see who has done what! thank you so much for taking the time to design and share your friendship stories and fabrics. It is a time that I look forward to everyday when I get home from work.
Thanks again
Can someone tell me if they are able to get into Me and My Sister blog. I've been trying off and on for about 4 hours to see their quilt block. No luck. Please help if you can.
ReplyDeleteThaks so much for a wonderful visit with quilting friends and the great blocks...I am missing blocks 21 and 26..also, block 27 was used by Lauren and Jessi Jung and Jenn Ski
ReplyDeleteI have 29 of 30 blocks , I am using v& co's numbered 31 as 21(?) but missing a 26. Lucky 13 posted on moda blog today we had already seen on Malka's stitch in dye blog!
ReplyDeleteBased on finished quilt pattern there is 21 & 26 missing, a spools looking pattern and a 4 diamond square looking pattern? Any chance these will be posted so we can round out our 30 patterns for the finished quilt pattern?
ReplyDeleteThanks for adding block 21 & 26!
