Web Tips: JPG Images

.JPG Images {pronounced JAY PEG} are used widely throughout websites, quilt design programs, and more. We know that creating a JPG image of fabric, product, etc. can take up lots of your time to cut, scan, and size the image needed for your project or website. We do this to every single piece of Moda Fabric for our Marketing and web and want to share our efforts in creating these images with you to help in your project design or simply to share your love for fabric on your blog/website.

We provide a Download JPG link to every Moda Collection published on our website. Simply click on the image for JPG images.

Save the .zip file to your computer.

Once saved, right click on the zip folder and select Extract All... 

This will extract all the images from the .zip folder into a new folder on your computer in the specified location you select.

You can now use these .JPG images on your blog/website or quilt design program such as Electric Quilt. We not only provide you with a scan of every fabric image in the collection, but we also provide images of all our precut images, collection image, quilt, and any finished product for that collection.

So stop creating all those images yourself and save some time by downloading the .JPG images that we provide on our website.

2011 Contest

Calling all quilt makers! The Alliance for American Quilts invites you to enter "Alliances: People, Patterns, Passion", a contest for all ages with a broad theme celebrating cooperative relationships that work towards a common goal. The Grand Prize this year is again a Handi Quilter machine quilting system--but this year you get to choose! All entries will debut in an exhibition at the 2011 American Quilter's Society show in Paducah. Visit the "Alliances" contest page for complete information and a downloadable entry form.

Sew Hip

Sew Hip... isn't that a great name? Well it is also a great magazine.
Here are a few of the descriptions from their website.

SEW Hip is the UK's number one sewing magazine!

Launched in October 2008 it is a fresh modern magazine, aimed at beginner and intermediate sewists who have a passion for fabric.

SEW Hip covers a wide range of sewing projects from patchwork to embroidery and dressmaking to quilting, there is something for everyone in SEW Hip.

They also include a full size clothing pattern in each issue. One of the gals here at moda actually made her first piece of apparel using one of these patterns.

The current issue of SEW HIP features our own Liesl Gibson from Oliver + S. 

I persoanlly think the editors have described Liesl perfectly. She is certainly Sew Hip.
